A little of this and that

It is currently blizzarding outside. It looks terrible...lots of blowing snow and wind. I am the only one at work right now, usually people start showing up by now, but the bad weather probably means I might be the only one here for a couple of hours! Tomorrow it is supposed to drop in temperature to -25 for a high! ughh....January weather is finally upon us. I was beginning to think we were being spared, but boy was I wrong!

Maegan left for Australia yesterday...it was a tough day for me. I am going to miss her so much, but I know God has his hand on her and is guiding her through all of her crazy adventures! God just has some plans for our family this year that are taking us all apart, which is really hard for me to understand, but I know he knows what he is doing. Saying goodbye to someone is never easy and thinking of not seeing Maegan for a year makes me want to cry(believe me, I cried my fare share yesterday!), but I know that we will make lots of memories on the phone together:) She is totally where God wants her to be, and for me that is what matters.

Before Maegan left, we were able to celebrate all the January birthdays together. Stephen's birthday is on the 7th, mine is on the 13th and Maegan's is on the 24th. I have some pictures of the momentous occasion, but have not had time to put them up. Hopefully by today I will have those up for your viewing pleasure!

We are definitely back into the swing of things. This week youth starts back up, as well as Fuse on Saturday night. It will be nice to get back into our routine. After a lot of holiays and sleeping in, it always takes my body time to adjust back to "real life". I am excited for the things God has in store for Stephen and I this new year, as well as for our Youth Group and ministry at Cornerstone Church. I really want to work on making things count this year. Making my actions count, my thoughts...everything that I do, I want it to have a purpose. I want to work on having a joyful attitude always, and most of all I want to work on trusting God more this year than I ever have before. Trusting him with everything in my life. I suppose I see all the things already that God is going to be teaching me, and I want to do well at listening to him and obeying him. I want to grow...

Hope all of you here in SK are surviving the storm out there! Stay warm:) Check back for pictures later today.
