The ladies:)
Christmas Eve was a crazy day for us! We drove to Regina in the morning for a 9:30AM rehersal with the United Church choir (don't we look great in our robes!). After singing and taking part in the service, we had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Quinns house with all the relatives. Dave and Maureen arrived that afternoon from the airport in Regina and then we had a quick drive back to Caronport to star in the Christmas Eve Service there! The whole family took part and sang christmas carols. To say the least..it was a very eventful singing day!

Our second day in Caronport consisted of working on making a Gingerbread House from scratch! It was so much fun, and amazingly enough, nothing broke! It all stuck together really nicely. Our favorite part was the stone chimney covered in smarties:)

Brotherly/Sisterly love:)
And so our trip begins...I will be going in somewhat chronological order so that you can follow our fun filled vacation. This was the first day we arrived, we hung out in downtown Moose Jaw and did some shopping while the boys went test driving big trucks! We topped it all off with Tim Hortons, as Jeremy and Erin don't get to stop there often because they are from Nashville. Us Canadians need to take pride in the few things that Americans don't have! Go Tim Hortons!

My blog got a face lift

So I finally decided to switch over the new and improved blogger...which is apparently kept telling me to do for some time now, but I just haven't. This time around, it was as easy as two steps! ONLY TWO!
Hopefully from now on, it will be much easier to add pictures, as lately I've been having such a hard time with that!

Our Christmas pictures will be coming soon with much more of an explanation!

A few more Reid xmas pics

I totally surprised Stephen this year....WITH TICKETS TO A VANCOUVER CANUCKS/CALGARY FLAMES GAME!!!! My mom and I totally pulled one over on Stephen and my Dad and we have all the arrangements made to go to the January 2nd game. Stephen could not have been more shocked! He LOVED the gift...its all he can talk about. YES...good wife points for me! hahaha

The blogging continues! REID FAMILY CHRISTMAS 2006!

Stephen and I are having Christmas with his entire family this year in Caronport, therefore we had to do some strategic planning when it came to getting together with my family to work something out. Today was our family Christmas. We were all commenting that it was actually kind of fun to have Christmas early this year instead of on Christmas day.

This year was a little different with our family. We decided to only buy one gift for everyone, so we drew names from a hat. It actually was really fun, and great to be able to put so much thought into one gift! Instead of spending money on each other, we put that money towards sending gifts through Canadian Food for the Hungary to less fortunate families in Africa. We were able to send two family packages, an Agri Combo that provides one family with a pig, 4 rabbits and fruit trees and seeds to plant! How awesome! The other combo we were able to get was a Family Combo which will provide another family with medical coverage for a year, school supplies and money for their kids to go to school and also some fruit trees and seeds to plant some great gardens! It is so much better to give than receive, and I really have been feeling that this year.

It was a really fun night, and will most definitly be treasured as times to get together will be far and few between from now on! I just love my family! I hope they know that.

I took some pictures of the night. Maegan and Jordan kept telling me to stop taking so many pictures! haha I didn't care! You can NEVER take too many pictures!

Artsy pic...this is actually my tree at home

My beautiful parents!

My surprise...my dad built me this really cool shelf, he also built my mom one too. They are built out of old doors that he got...I need to finish it and paint it! I love it!

Jordan's surprise funny gift...he actually got some really sweet snow boarding pants...but Mom and Dad gave him these ones first...he actually liked these ones too! Hot jord....bright purple! My dad accidentally bid on them on ebay and ended up winning them...haha Its a great joke among our family

Cornerstone Staff xmas party continued...

Kathy apparently doesn't like getting her picture taken

Christmas Parties Galore!

Just thought I would post some pictures of our Christmas Party Extravaganza lately. On Thursday we had our Jr. High xmas party at Ruckers:) Saturday day/night we had skating and turkey dinner with our Snr. Highs. On Sunday we had Stephen's staff Christmas party with all of the church staff, which was a blast. There are some pictures from that event...I went a little picture crazy! I just love my new camera! Its been so much fun:) Enjoy!

Holy Cookie Dough Batman

This past Saturday our mission to Mexico team set out to Rosthern Youth Farm to make...yes, you guessed it...COOKIE DOUGH! Chocolate Chip to be exact. And seriously...we didn't cheap out on the dough part, there was literally tons of it! We ended up making 16 batches of chocolate chip cookie dough...240 2 lb bags of it...which works out to about 12,000 cookies if we made all of it! We are actually selling the cookie dough for $10 a bag to fundraise for our trip.

It was a whole lot of fun...and a whole lot of mixing and getting really greasy! Here are some pictures I captured of the eventful day.

Here are some pictures I took while testing out the camera...I still haven't gotten the thing figured out, but what I have found so far is pretty cool! Enjoy!

New Edition to the Family...

I am now the proud owner of the Canon Powershot S3IS Digital Camera! My awesome hubby totally surprised me this past week and came home with an early Christmas gift. Mostly because he wanted me to learn how to use it before we go for Christmas so I can take some awesome pictures!

I am so excited becuase lately I've really been enjoying taking pictures...finding cool shapes/colors..things to shoot. The next 2 weeks I will be pouring over the manual and asking anyone and everyone about what works and doesn't.

The camera has had great reviews...and so far I've found it pretty easy to use. It is a lot different than our other Canon Camera...as it is much more "high tech":)

Looking forward to posting/sharing some cool pics from the new camera! Hopefully they get better over time as I continue to learn more.
