Sunny Days

Good Morning everyone!

Its about time I updated this thing. How lame am I...takes me a month to finally get off my butt and post something new instead of looking at the same old pictures everytime.

I do have a ton of pictures to post that will be coming along shortly this afternoon.

Its been a pretty crazy June. We've been pretty much going full steam until the end of this week. Lots of year end parties, graduations, fundraisers. You name it we did it! Lots of fun and lots of rain to go along with it! I couldn't be happier that the sun has shone these last few days! In the upcoming months there is much happening as well. Stephen leaves on July 1st to go work at the Calgary Stampede for 2 weeks. So I am hanging out in Saskatoon on my own and trying to keep myself busy. I will be babysitting one of the weekends he is gone and volunteering at VBS. Stephen gets home on July 17 and then we leave for Beautiful British Columbia to take part in my best friends wedding on July 22. My first time being a bridesmaid, can't wait:) After we arrive home its back to work for a week and then hopefully off to Invermere for a week to spend time with Stephen's family. Part of me feels like we aren't even really getting a vacation this summer. Hopefully we won't be exhausted going into September but refreshed and relaxed. I've never been one to like being away from home for too long. Don't get me wrong, I love travelling and exploring, but after house sitting for 2 weeks for my parents and then being at home alone for 2 weeks while Stephen is away at Stampede, I think I'm going to be ready to get back into our normal routine. We haven't slept in our own bed for almost 2 weeks now. Nonetheless I feel extremely blessed and taken care of. Although it has been busy and Stephen and I are extremely tired....we know life won't always be like this.

I know everyone probably struggles with this. Trying to find time together, just you and your husband, where you can honestly say you forget about "life" and enjoy each others company. What kinds of things have you guys done to help that? Have you found things or times that work really well? This last year was so busy for Stephen and I that in a really selfish way I felt like we missed the first year of marriage "getting to know each other" part. We were so busy getting to know everyone else in church and getting to know kids that we just forgot about us. We missed out on a lot of things because we didn't have the time to do them. This next year I really want to work on making that time together and being able to say no to things. I'm still learning how to do that:) I just thought maybe some of you who have been married for much longer than me can give me some advice!

There will be pictures...I promise! Hope everyone is well and has a great summer. God Bless!
