My TOP TEN

I have been tagged by Kim to name my top 10 things that make me happy and give me pleasure.

Here are my top 10 in no particular order:

1. Cuddling up in bed and falling asleep with my husband next to me.
2. When my husband goes to grab my hand and holds it while driving in the car.
3. Laughing and singing really loudly with my sister (I miss you Maegan!)
4. Watching Americas Funniest Home Videos with my family on a Sunday night!
5. Laying outside suntanning while drinking iced tea and reading a good book.
6. Watching flowers grow and bloom.
7. The ocean. I love listening to it and watching the waves crash. I could walk up and down beaches forever.
8. Watching Stephen's sister Julia dance ballet. It is so beautiful!
9. Hearing my husband tell me that I am beautiful.
10. Watching my family grow together and love each other and care for each other. They really are the greatest parents and brother and sister I could ever ask for!

I'm feeling a little discouraged today. Basically just really bummed out about some stuff that has gone on at my work. I need some encouragement and prayer today.

I am trying to stay positive and know that there is a reason for everything, and I keep thinking of that verse in Jeremiah, one of my favorite ones:

"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

God's got plans for me, even if I don't see them now. Even though Iwant things to go a certain way at work, he might have other ideas. Hopefully I can just let go and be able to let God take my worries and cares.

I hope you all had a great easter! I most definitly did. It was very relaxing. More to come about easter weekend later.

Ideas Please!

Good Morning!

Just recently, as I was watching my most favorite show Friends last week, our TV decided to quit on us. Completely shut off and not turn on again. Its a crying shame.
It is interesting though, how this little event has made me realize how much TV I watched. Whenever we came home, we just sat infront of the TV. Whenever I was bored and didn't have anything to do, I would sit in front of the TV, even if there never was anything good on.
So, our TV has been sent away by the good people at Future Shop and will be repaired and sent back in 4-6 weeks. That is a lot of weeks people, and so I need to find something to do with my life while I am at home by myself with not that much to do.
Anyone have any great ideas? Stephen and I have already been out cleaning the yard and stuff, so that will keep us busy for some time. I am also planning on planting some flowers and figuring out what my new flower garden infront of the house will look like. I can't wait!

In other more exciting news...Stephen and I are planning a little get away this weekend:) Can't tell you where or else it woudln't be a surprise and somewhat exciting for us (lame I know, but we gotta try where we can!). We leave on Thursday night and are gone until Saturday! Just the two of us...it is going to be grand! I've been thinking about it all week and getting excited about it. Pictures to come after our weekend of fun and our Easter dinner with my family! I'm bringing the turkey and the dessert!
